My Journey in Oncology

Hello, I’m Dr. Roshankumar Patil, a Radiation Oncologist deeply passionate about delivering advanced, precise, and compassionate cancer care. Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of helping countless patients in North Maharashtra  through evidence-based treatments that combine cutting-edge technology with a human touch.

I completed my MBBS from G.S. Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai (2013), followed by MD in Radiation Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai (2017) — an experience that truly shaped my career. During my time at TMH, I trained hands-on across more than 10 high-end radiation machines, mastering modern techniques such as VMAT, IGRT, IMRT, SBRT, SRS, SRT, and 3DCRT. The high patient volumes, research opportunities, and mentorship at TMH instilled in me a deep commitment to both clinical excellence and continuous learning. I have also cleared the DNB (Radiation Oncology) examination from a National Board.

My journey since then has been about bringing that excellence home to North Maharashtra. I’ve been actively involved in establishing a state-of-the-art Radiation Oncology Department, where my focus lies in achieving the best possible outcomes while preserving each patient’s quality of life. Alongside cancer treatment, I’m also passionate about palliative oncology and non-interventional pain management, ensuring care that is both precise and compassionate.

Beyond clinical work, research and learning continue to drive me. I’ve authored over 22 publications in reputed journals like Elsevier, Springer, and Wiley and I serve on the editorial boards of Frontiers in Oncology and Cancer Research, Statistics and Treatment (CRST). My research has also been presented at global platforms such as ASTRO 2018 (San Antonio) and ASTRO 2019 (Chicago).

Over the years, I’ve completed courses in Palliative Medicine (FCPM), Clinical Research (PDCR), and Data Science & Statistical Analysis, as well as advanced training at Varian’s Clinical School in SRT and SBRT techniques. These experiences have helped me integrate clinical intuition with data-driven insights — always with the goal of offering the best, most personalized care possible.

At my core, I believe that cancer care is not just about treating disease — it’s about restoring Hope, Dignity, And Quality Of Life. Every patient’s story matters, and I strive to make each one count.
